About the Author

JIM CHESKAWICH was drafted and served with the 101st Airborne Division in Phu Bai, South Vietnam. His hope is that fellow Vietnam Vets and their families will find reading this book healing, and that other readers unfamiliar with war may gain perspective and understanding of what war is like from his journey of self-discovery.

  • Past president and founder of Rex of White Way Samoyed Memorial Library and Museum;
  • Maxwell Winner for 2013 and gold and silver e-lit awards for The Story of Rex of White Way-The Blizzard King;
  • Woodland Kennels owner and manager;
  • Sub teacher for 14 years, and assistant football coach at La Center high school.
